Is it weird that I only dated him for a month, but am still not over him?

It has been 2 months! I feel ridiculous but I can't get over this boy. I liked him so much and everything was going perfectly until he randomly stopped talking to me for a week and then broke up with me in a text. I've been trying so hard to get my mind off of him, but it;s not working!

For the first month afterwards I texted him multiple times and made it obvious that I still liked him. And one of those times I basically threw myself at him through texts...

Then I tried to redeem my dignity and text him normally, as if I was over him.

Then I realized that I was always the one sending the texts and I was acting like an idiot and needed to stop.

So I haven't texted him for two and a half weeks now. But I'm dyyying to text him now! All I really want to be is friends! He is such a relaxed person and he is so easy to talk to.

Is it weird that I can't get over him for two months after only dating him one month?
