It’s so unfortunate that no matter how long you knew each other and how long you have courted your wife, all of those happy moments where about to get ruined and led your marriage to divorce. They said love is patient, but what if you got pissed off much of the messy things going on into your relationship? Can love remain patient? Up to what extent and how long? I believe that true love comprises of trust, understanding, sacrifice, submission and acceptance. If it’s not, we easily lose direction and became weary as a couple. Actually, before planning to get married, there are lot of important things to take consideration such as emotional and mental counseling, examining financial stability and knowing the commandments about marriage rather than choosing the perfect wedding band.
Many of us take it wrongly or too often underestimate the word marriage but we do not know that this is one of the toughest decisions we make in our lives. Our future will be depending on the decisions we make. Perhaps you can go wrong on a pair of wedding ring you will buy but you can’t in choosing the woman or the man you will be for a lifetime because there’s no way out except death. Remember, there is this saying that “Marriage is not just like swallowing a spoonful of hot rice that once your tongue got burned, you will spill it out."Di na pwedeng isoli ang asawa sa mga magulang..."
What are the common reasons of a broken marriage? These are just some of my collected in my thorough petition of opinions, facts and readings. You might be experiencing some of it while you are in the midst of the confusion about your relationship. A relationship is gradually destroyed due to:
1. Lack of respect and communication even you are staying on one roof. This is the most wicked reason for a broken marriage.
2. Suspicion, jealousy, possessiveness in all the things that go around your marriage.
3. Ignorance of the effort for either the husband or the wife to work out the relationship.
4. Uneven social status which more likely that the woman earns better than the man.
5. Mental incompatibility. Cultural differences maybe.
6. Absence of time and bonding. Always busy earning and gaining nothing but fighting.
7. Family issues most commonly refers to extended family or relatives living on your roof and trying to dip in your issues.
I’m not saying that reconstruction of a broken relationship is just as easy as saying get off your duff and move on but if you still love each other, of course broken hearts will mend for some time, why not work on it and use love as a tool to regain the trust little by little. If you need to court your wife again, then do it if it will help both of you to save your marriage. If you can’t handle your relationship properly, you will be as good as a lawyer.

Similarly, a happy relationship is achieved when both individuals allow themselves to act as one, yet still retain their personal responsibility. They stand like two columns in a temple. If the columns stand too close or far apart, the building will collapse. But if each column is strong, with the right amount of space between them, the structure will endure.
If people sacrifice self-reliance within a relationship, it is not surprising that they expose themselves to many problems and disappointments. Relationships are an opportunity for growth. It is a mistake to use them to escape responsibility. They offer the opportunity for our hidden potential to flower, protected within the garden of family security. A good relationship is a spiritual opportunity for two people to help one another up the ladder of soul evolution. A loving relationship protects and fortifies both partners and is the bedrock of the family. In turn, family values founded on love nourish the hearts of children, who become the hope for a better world. These fortuitous circumstances increase the positive energy within the family, thereby protecting the soul and enabling spiritual progress.
